GlareOne Apus i Botis – battery flashes

High-power flash units that can be successfully used not only in the studio but also outdoors. They perform excellently even during the most demanding shoots. Equipped with remote control functions, HSS mode (which allows synchronization with short shutter speeds), and TTL mode, which enables automatic flash metering with nearly any camera brand. All of this makes the GlareOne Apus and Botis series an excellent choice for photographers who need a reliable and flexible light source when shooting in various conditions.

The GlareOne Apus 48 and 80 are compact, classic reportage flashes. They feature flash tubes equipped with Fresnel lenses. Available in two versions with 48Ws and 80Ws of power.

The GlareOne Botis 80, 200, 400, and 600 have large, round flash tubes, similar to large studio flash units. This design ensures that the light is evenly distributed and works perfectly with accessories such as softboxes or umbrellas. The flashes emit daylight temperature light, ensuring full and accurate color reproduction.

Power and Performance

The lithium-ion battery in all of these flashes allows for the following number of flashes per charge:

  • Apus 48 – up to 550 flashes
  • Apus 80 – up to 500 flashes
  • Botis 80 – up to 500 flashes
  • Botis 200 – up to 450 flashes
  • Botis 400 – up 500 flashes
  • Botis 600 – up 380 flashes

Application of GlareOne Apus and Botis lamps

Due to their high power and HSS and TTL functions, the Apus and Botis series lights are perfect for virtually any type of photography, such as wedding photography, reportage, outdoor portraits, sports, interior or culinary photography.

Compatibility

Apus 48 and 80 and Botis 80 lamps are available in two versions – with a universal shoe, compatible with Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, Lumix and OM SYSTEM systems, or a shoe for Sony cameras. The Botis 200, 400, and 600 are compatible with all systems.

Remote control – Master and Slave modes

The GlareOne Apus 48 and 80, and Botis 80 flashes offer both MASTER and SLAVE modes. In MASTER mode, the flashes can function as remote controllers for other flash units, enabling the creation of an advanced lighting system. In SLAVE mode, the flashes can be triggered remotely by other devices, providing full flexibility in lighting setups on set. Additionally, thanks to compatibility with the Canon RT system, the flashes offer additional synchronization and control features for Canon lamps (not applicable to Apus 48/48 S).

Cooperation with transmitters

GlareOne rechargeable flash units work with all GlareOne triggers, allowing them to be easily used with other flash units from the brand, providing convenience and flexibility when working.

Advanced channel and group settings

All Apus and Botis series flashes allow 16 groups and 32 channels, giving you a wide range of configuration and control over multiple flashes in different conditions. This allows you to precisely set lighting parameters.

The Botis 400 and Botis 600 feature color-coded group indicator LEDs. Additionally, the group letter in the corresponding color is displayed on the flash screen.

Reliable flash

The flashes are equipped with lithium-ion batteries that provide long-lasting and reliable performance, even during intensive shooting sessions. The ability to adjust the flash power in 9 stops (10 stops for Botis 400) makes it easy to customize the flash output. Additionally, the extremely short recharge time allows for quick preparation for the next shot, minimizing downtime during shooting.

Polaris, Lynx and Talos transmitters

GlareOne Polaris, Lynx and Talos transmitters have a range of up to 80 meters (Talos) or 100 meters (Polaris, Lynx). All work on a 2.4 GHz frequency, ensuring stable communication, supporting 6 groups and 32 channels. They also support High-Speed Sync (HSS) up to 1/8000 second and TTL functionality.

Polaris and Lynx transmitters feature built-in Bluetooth connectivity, allowing remote control via the GlareOne app, increasing convenience and flexibility. The app allows easy adjustment of settings and full control over the lighting system without direct access to the transmitter.

Polaris, Lynx, and Talos are available in two versions – with a universal hot shoe, compatible with Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, Lumix, and OM SYSTEM systems, or with a hot shoe for Sony cameras.

The Polaris transmitter features a large color display and dedicated physical buttons to control individual flash groups. The Lynx transmitter can also function as a receiver and is controlled using classic buttons. Talos is the smallest transmitter, equipped with a color touchscreen OLED display with an anti-reflective coating, ensuring excellent visibility in all conditions.

Power is incredibly simple – Polaris and Talos use built-in rechargeable batteries via USB-C, while Lynx is powered by two AA batteries.
